moment | M provides various services for our clients such as buying media and placing our clients advertisements in such media, including finding the appropriate target audience for our clients (“Services”). The sections set forth below describe our information practices for these Services, including delivering advertisements that may appear on various websites on the Internet or on Mobile Devices.
For information on how we collect and use information on our website, as opposed to through our Services, please see the sections below under the heading “OUR WEBSITE.”
Collection of Personally Identifiable Information
We do not intentionally collect personally identifiable information (“Personally Identifiable Information”) from users online through advertisements we manage on behalf of our clients. Personally Identifiable Information is information that specifically identifies an individual, such as a person’s real name, mailing address, phone number or e-mail address.
Collection of Non-Personal Information
We do collect non-personally identifiable information (“Non-Personally Identifiable Information”) to identify computers that we have interacted with before or that we have identified as appropriate targets for our clients’ advertisements. We may collect Non-Personally Identifiable Information regarding your online activities and usage or interactions with advertisements we manage on behalf of our clients. We use this information to customize the advertisements delivered to you online and for research and analysis purposes. Non-Personally Identifiable Information may include information such as the type of Internet browser used by an online user, the type of device used, your Internet protocol (“IP”) address or other unique identifier, the domain name of the sites visited before and after viewing an advertisement, as well as information related to sites, pages and apps a user is viewing when an advertisement is shown. When we refer to ‘you’ or ‘yours’ in this context, we mean your device since we generally do not know your specific identity or have any Personally Identifiable Information.
Our Service is designed to show users advertisements that are relevant to the particular user. For example, if our analysis leads us to believe that a user is a musician, that user might receive advertisements regarding music stores.
Third Party Information Sharing
We may disclose a user’s information to third parties when we reasonably believe we are obligated to do so by law, and in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected or actual prohibited activities, including, but not limited to, fraud and situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person. In addition, and if permitted by applicable law, we may also disclose and provide access to a user’s information to our vendors and contractors who are performing services on our behalf. However, such vendors and contractors are not permitted to use such user information for any purpose other than providing services to us.
Our systems are designed to retain Non Personally Identifiable information for 12 months. After that time, while we will delete the information on our end, we may retain aggregate reports generated from this information for longer periods of time for reporting purposes.
The security of your information is very important to us. We use reasonable efforts to protect it from unauthorized access. However, due to the inherent open nature of the Internet and other networks, we cannot guarantee that your information will be completely free from unauthorized access by third parties such as hackers and your use of our Service demonstrates your assumption of this risk. We have put in place reasonable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard the information we collect. Only those employees, contractors and vendors who need access to your information in order to perform their duties are authorized to have access to your information. For more information on protecting your privacy, please visit www.ftc.gov/privacy.
